Modales Wines, led by Northern California, Napa raised winemaker Andrew Backlin (Steele Wines, Duckhorn) making a hotly-anticipated visit to our Frame tables. Bringing terroir-driven bottles upon bottles forged from the heavy clay soils of their 75-acre estate vineyard in Fennville that challenge the perception of what is possible for Michigan viticulture.
Alongside Chef Michael Goessman (Montana, NYC, Nashville, now Grand Rapids) of Cafe Mamo taking control of the Frame kitchen with an extraordinary menu built on meticulousness precision. Think ‘Bison Bolognese’, ‘Greens with Pickled Pumpkin’ and ‘Bay Leaf and Buttermilk Swirl Ice Cream’, celebrating the west side of the states vibrant and growing agricultural community.
